independence day in Panama

Drums have not stopped beating all weekend (literally, they were practicing at 2:00 am Saturday morning). People have been marching in circles around the main square for 2 days straight. It´s a little out of control, but lots of fun and adds to the excitement of the weekend.

I´m currently at Bocas del Toro, Panama enjoying a couple more Caribbean days before I fly home. Below are some photos of the everlasting parade and the beautiful beaches around here.

Sanders,
Just had a look through your posts so far. Very cool and seems you're having a great time. You've covered a great deal of Central America that's for sure. Hope you've been able to keep Gringo Days to a minimum, as well as bus breakdowns (though the unexpected delays/detours can add to the experience if you've got the time and are in the right frame of mind.) Too bad about the foot fungus.
